Convention Links
I love conventions. You may have figured that out by the fact that I created a webcomic about them, but I felt like saying it again anyways. This page is a list of the cons I currently fit into my schedule.
Conventions I Currently Attend:
No Brand Con (Eau Claire, WI) – This is my home convention, and one that I’m a co-founder of. If I had to pick only one convention to go to, it would be this one. Of course, I’m a bit biased. Believe it or not, Bork Con is NOT based directly off of No Brand Con.
Geek.kon (Madison, WI) – Geek.kon is tied for “my favorite convention I don’t run.” A general fandom convention rather than an anime con, Geek.kon is just a TON of fun.
Daisho Con (Stevens Point, WI) – This is the other convention tied for “my favorite convention I don’t run.” For a convention I had no part in organizing, advising, or working for in any way shape or form, they seem to do a lot the exact way I think a convention should do things. This is a good thing.
Anime Milwaukee (Milwaukee, WI) – These brave souls have actually been putting a convention on in Milwaukee. For that alone they deserve praise and adulation. Go Anime Milwaukee!
MarsCon (Bloomington, MN) – A Sci Fi con in the twin cities with a party floor that is incredibly entertaining. I started going to Sci Fi cons in the mid-nineties, and MarsCon satisfies my need for nostalgia in that regard. Not to be confused with the other MarsCon halfway across the country in VA. These days, now that I live in Indiana, I sadly can’t attend MarsCon anymore, and that makes me sad.
I occasionally go to other cons, and you can find more about my personal experiences in my Con Reports section of TRHOnline.
